1. God reveals His secrets. Amos.3:7 “He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets

v.6. a. LIGHT! Gen.1:3. “Let there be light” God Himself is the source of LIGHT. Jn.1:3-5.

b. Made His light to shine in our hearts – God reveals Himself to His creation.

c. To give the light of the KNOWLEDGE of the GLORY OF GOD.

d. In the Face of Jesus Christ. Col.1:18 – Don’t look to anyone or anything else to reveal GOD’S GLORY. Ex.33:12-23. First GRACE before THE GLORY IS REVEALED.

v.7. Treasure in earthen vessels – Adam created from dust. Gen.2:7

NEVER KNOW WHAT CAN BE FOUND IN A CLAY POT! DEAD SEA SCROLLS!

1.Cor.1:26-31. GOD hides His treasures in ORDAINARY PEOPLE – THE INSIGNIFICANT CAN BECOME SIGNIFICANT. Not the elite of Israel – Ordinary fishermen!

WHY DID GOD DO THIS? – TO REVEAL THE TRUE SOURCE OF SPIRITUAL POWER AND AUTHORITY IS OF AND IN HIM! Zech.4:6

GOD’S POWER IS DIFFERENT FROM ALL ELSE – TRANFORMS PEOPLE, CHANGES SITUATIONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES. IT IS WITHOUT LIMIT! Luke.1:37

2. Acts.17:28. Paul wanted to be a proud Pharisee, member of the Sanhedrin Council.

LORD HAD OTHER IDEAS – CHOSEN TO REVEAL THE GLORY AND POWER OF GOD!

Flesh never gives in easily – Fights to the end. Gal.1:15-17. & 2.Tim.4:6-8, v7.

Acts.9:5. “It is hard for you to kick against the pricks” He had resisted the Holy Spirit.

3. Gen.32:24-31. Jacob wrestles with the Lord. Hip out of joint –Walk! Gave way to the Lord, the next morning the Sun –God’s light shone upon him.
