1. Isaiah.6:1-8. Vision of the Lord. Train = Badge of Office – Fills the Temple – The Holy Spirit and the church/temple.

v.5. The revelation overwhelms Isaiah. Admits his failure and sinfulness

v.6-7. An angel sent by the Lord cleanses Isaiah’s mouth. Declared righteous!

v.8 Only then does the Lord speak directly to Isaiah. Issues challenge!

v.9. Isaiah responds accepts commission.

2. Acts – take away the Holy Spirit and what is left – a hollow shell of a church

3. Matthew.9:20-23 Mark.5:24-34. Luke.8:43-48.

a. Jesus was already busy with Jairus whose daughter was so ill.

b. Woman overcomes her own personal problems.

i. Rejected by the Law and society –

ii. Low position of women in those times

iii. Pre-conceived ides

iv. Disappointments – Nothing to date had worked.

c. 12 years – loss of blood, result became gradually weaker and weaker.

LOSING BLOOD? When the power of the CROSS & BLOOD IS COMPROMISED! AND NEGLECT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, RESULTS IN BECOMING WEAKER AND WEAKER! LESS EFFECTIVE! ONLY ONE ANSWER JESUS!!!!!!

d. Mk.5:27. “When she heard about Jesus” Romans.10:17.

e. Spent all she had on Physicians etc. Church can spend money and time on things others provide. Methods! Traditions! Importing ideas, copying or listening to other people, and other sources etc.

NOTHING CAN OR WILL REPLACE FINDING THE LORD’S PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR YOUR CHURCH! (NOTHING CAN REPLACED THE PRESENCE OF GOD, ANPOINTING AND POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT)

f. She is DESPERATE! She is DETERMINED! She OVERCAME OBSTACLES!

She WANTS SOMETHING FROM THE LORD – HE ALONE CAN GIVE HER!

DESPERATION MADE HER MORE DETERMINED!

Three important principles revealed.

a. TOUCH of FAITH – TOUCH = To attach oneself to! To fasten! To set on fire! Light!

Kindle! Cling! To lay hold of!

Conclusion.

Can we learn from THIS WOMAN EXAMPLE? The answer is yes! We must, essential to seek out JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR a New Pentecostal outpouring for the church.
