The Genesis Week. Pt.3

Introduction. Psalm.51:10. Nlt. “God make fresh start in me, shape a Genesis Week from the chaos of my life”

Genesis.1:3-25. God’s method of restoration is done in an orderly and miraculous manner!

God is the God of the miraculous. a. Everything begins with the SOUND OF HIS WORD.

b. Thereafter the miraculous action takes place.

Mark.16:20. The disciples went everywhere and preached(word), and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs. Acts.2:22

1.Kings.18:41.nkjv. “I hear the SOUND OF AN ABUNDANCE OF RAIN” The Lord speaks into Elijah’s spirit, FIRST THE SOUND AND THEN THE RAIN.

Gen.1:3-5. Then God said! “LET THERE BE LIGHT” Miracle happens!

Gen.1:6-8. Then God said! “LET THERE BE SEPERATION” Miracle Happens!

Gen.1:9-13. Then God said! “LET THE WATER(SEAS) BE GATHERED INTO ONE PLACE, SO

THAT DRY GROUND MAY APPEAR! Miracle happens!

Note:- Progression of 3-Miracles:- a. LIGHT! b. SEPERATION. c. DRY GROUND!

1.Gen.1:9-13 Lessons thus far pictures of Salvation experience – The Church introduced.

a.v.10. DRY GROUND – Place where God could work – GOD SAW IT WAS GOOD!

b.v.11-12 PLACE WE GOD WOULD GROW FRUIT ETC – GOD SAW IT WAS GOOD!

N.B. This is the only day when God says - 2x “He saw it was good!” Picture of church/fruitful!

2. Ephesians.3:8-12, v.10 The Church is THE EVIDENCE OF AND TO EVIDENCE GOD’S WISDOM.

a. Place of the Resurrection The 3rd Day – Miracle of Death, Burial & Resurrection of Jesus. Luke.24:1-8. “Why seek the living amongst the dead”

b. Place to STAND = Faithful, committed to local Church –Body of Christ 1.Cor.12:18

c. Place to GROW - 2.Peter.3:18. “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord ---“

d. Place to become FRUITFUL. John.15:1-8.

e Place to learn to Walk in the LIGHT. 1.John.

g. Place to learn to walk in the SPIRIT. Galations.5:25.

h. Place of Fellowship. Acts.2:42 & Hebrews.10:25.

Conclusion:- Refer to item (d) Judges.6:12. The Angel of the Lord(Jesus) appears to Gideon, an insecure, feeble man – Who needs signs, wonders to convince him the call is of God, Jud.6:17-24 & 36-40, before he is fully convinced.

John.15:5. “I am the Vine and you are the branches-------for WITHOUT ME, you can do nothing”

The implication is that since we are His branches, He does nothing without us, not because He lacks sovereign power, Matthew.28:18-20, v.18. But because He has chosen to accomplish His purposes through the Church and the people He loves.

Gen.1:26-28, created Adam and Eve to display His own image through man to mankind.

Abraham to REVEAL man can walk by FAITH. Moses = Exodus.3. The Deliverer of Israel. Gidoen likewise. Elijah -1.Kings.18. Mt Carmel, and plus many others. God loves to work through His creative beings and the church.
